Android Developer

Elevus is a company that, since 2001, has been offering innovative solutions in the Human Resources field, specializing in recruitment and outsourcing, operating both in Portugal and in the international market, and we are currently looking for a Backend Developer.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high quality Android applications, ensuring a fluid and responsive user experience.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to implement user interfaces, create and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Java/Kotlin code;
• Identify improvements and bugs and ability to devise solutions to these problems;
• Help maintain code quality, organisation and automation;
• Optimise the performance of applications for mobile devices, including memory management and battery consumption.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous delivery of new features.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering;
• Professional experience of more than 2 years;
• Experience developing native Android applications;
• Proficiency with various versions of the Android SDK;
• Implementing robust architectures, using MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns.
• Experience developing applications for android payment terminals using the Java/Kotlin language;
• Familiarity with developing applications that integrate RESTful APIs;
• Knowledge of Android SDK, AIDL and other IPC mechanisms;
• Experience in integrating APIs and services;
• Autonomy and a sense of responsibility;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Good knowledge of English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing embedded software is a plus.
• Familiarity with animations, transitions and other UI/UX techniques to enhance the user experience.
• Knowledge, experience in Security, Data Encryption;
• Development experience using git workflow;
